Here is a tip of the iceberg of some of the thank you notes I have received since the WOW list began. In reading them, you will see why I keep on sending out the quotes each and every day. I removed the last name and e-mail addresses of these posts. I have divided up the thank you posts into different groups. Please click on the section below that you would like to look at.

Around the World
Hi - I want to share with you an experience I had so that you can see how your wonderful service has been used in unexpected ways. My mother passed away Dec.3.1997. When my brother and I left the hospital, we went to her apartment just to make sure everything was turned off and locked up. As we walked in, we began talking about the little plaques and sayings my mother liked to put up in different rooms.
I said that my favorite had always been a plaque I had bought her on one of my trips to Utah.  The saying was something like, "Your life is God's gift to you.  What you do with your life is your gift to God."  We briefly looked through her apartment for the plaque but couldn't find it.  We knew it would turn up eventually.
The funeral was Mon., Dec. 8.  As I was beginning to get ready, I thought I would check the WOW message for that day and see if it was particularly inspirational and appropriate.  The message for that day was, "Life is God's greatest gift to man, and what we do with our life is our gift to God." I suppose there are many who would say it was merely coincidence.  But the odds of that specific quote on that specific day are just too astronomical to be chance.  I believe my mother was telling me that she was still around, that she was keeping an eye on things, and that she heard my brother and I talking.
The Lord works in mysterious ways - including using your service as a medium.

Subject: Thank you and we apologize
Dear Denis, First we want to take the time to say thank you for your wonderfully uplifting daily quotes.  We have been receiving these quotes for quite some time and we always look forward to the uplifting thoughts that come to our e-mail daily.  Thank you so very much.
Next, we want to say thank you and we apologize at the same time. Now an explanation is due.  On November 11, 1997, if you recall, there was a mix up in the e-mail service.  A subscriber wrote in and asked where you were.  (If memory serves us right, you didn't send a daily quote for two or three days because you were busy updating your web site.)  She wrote to ask you what was going on, only she sent her e-mail to the wrong address and three thousand people ended up with the letter. By the end of the day we'd received approximately 150 letters from people that had no idea what was happening. It was a little crazy, but when people caught on to what was going on with their e-mail then some creative souls decided to send their own quotes/stories in and make an unpleasant experience one that became uplifting and enjoyable.  Well, along with that mix up, came some good, for we met many kind and wonderful people that we are still in correspondence with.  There was another thing that happened due to that mix up and this is one that my husband and I will be eternally greatful for (to you and to our Father in Heaven).  On November 11, 1997, due to the mix up, then my husband and I were blessed by finding one another.  He wrote me a small story (thanks to the mix up he was able to obtain my address) and I responded back. The rest is history.  We were married March 9th and we couldn't be happier.
We have all heard the quote: "The Lord works in mysterious ways" and this is surely one of those times.   We are eternally greatful to you.  When people ask us how we met then we tell them that is was a friend in California that deserves the credit for our blessed union.  We can't thank you enough.
The apology?  Well, it looks as though we were the reason for the mix up.  Heavenly Father knew that it was the only way we would ever meet since we lived in separate states and so He, in His infinite wisdom, planned that for us.
Thank you Denis.  May Heavenly Father bless you and your family, as He has ours. P/S:  If you want to share our story with the other subscribers then please feel free to do just that.  We only have one request and that is that we please remain anonymous.  Thank you.  :-)
